Joe Blackbourn founded Everest Holdings in 2002. With more than 24 years in the real estate industry, Joe has had direct involvement with investment in office buildings, master-planned communities, multifamily communities, shopping centers, hotel properties, business parks, mixed-use developments, residential land, commercial land, mortgage pools and portfolios of distressed assets. His experience includes successful outcomes for complex underwriting, capitalization and asset management challenges.

Joe holds a bachelor of science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and did his post-graduate work there, as well as at Arizona State University. He is active in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) as a member of a national product council and is a past chairman of the Arizona District Council, where he currently serves on the executive committee. He is a member of Lambda Alpha International and has served on numerous civic committees and boards, including ASU’s Council for Design Excellence and the advisory board for its Master of Real Estate Development trans-disciplinary program.

Joe has also served as a board member of the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) and led its collaboration with the ULI AZ’s Technical Assistance Program. Joe serves as a First Place® AZ real estate advisor.
