Lorena Garcia moved to the Phoenix area in 2009 to pursue her graduate studies at Thunderbird School of Global Management. In 2011, she earned an MBA with a focus on finance, as well as a Master of Science in Global Management. Since graduation, Lorena has pursued an entrepreneurial career.
Lorena is the co-founder of two successful companies: Bloguettes, a resource company for online branding, and Esto es Púrpura, a popular women’s fashion and news site in Mexico. She is head of strategy and business development and aims to grow both companies to reach their full potential. Lorena is also the financial consultant for her family’s dredging and public construction company in Mexico City.
Lorena is a passionate supporter of the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) and First Place® AZ. In her role of capital campaign cabinet member and as the older sister of a young adult with autism, she is committed to making First Place a reality and to supporting its residents to live productive, positive and independent lives.
