One of our focus areas this summer is cultural experiences in the community. Students recently visited the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) and immersed themselves in the musical traditions of countries across the world. During the visit, students discussed other countries and cultures, interacted with electronic exhibits, and experienced the museum at their own pace. In the museum’s exploration room, each student had the opportunity to play instruments they learned about that day.
MIM was another “first” for the students of the First Place Transition Academy, operated by SARRC.
